- Grade 12 and relevant qualification in Distribution and Warehouse Management.
- Computer literacy with specific reference to MS Excel Intermediate proficiency.
- Syspro experience would be considered advantageous.
- 2 years managing a store/warehouse with a small team.
- Driver’s license & own transport is essential to meet the demands of operational requirements.
- This will require flexible working hours and stand-by duties.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
HEALTH, SAFETY AND RISK
Adhere and comply with all company health and safety as well as BRC procedures.
Establish and maintain an effective and measureable housekeeping system
Work closely with Risk Department to update systems to reduce risk and prevent theft
Ensure compliance to all related BRC processes and procedures
COST CONTROL AND REDUCTION
Implement systems to prevent stock losses and write-off’s.
Implement and manage an effective system that continuously strives to prevent out-of-stock situations.
Maintain a register of critical spares based on operational requirements and long lead times.
Continuously strive to remove redundant items and reduce overall stock value without affecting production.
Stock accuracy trend 99%.
GRN receive strike rate of 99%.
Overall stock rotation of 45 days
Ensure all stock items are stored in an adequate environment where functionality of quality of items is not compromised. Identify, prioritize and raise issues to management that needs to be resolved inside the store environment. Take timeous measures to address potential disasters of compromised stock items or losses.
Ensure high levels of quick and effective service to internal and external customers. Strive to meet the service levels required through optimized processes.
Maintain accurate and effective levels of stock for M3 warehouse (min/ levels), taking into account the input of the Procurement Manager and by extracting/analyzing of replenishment processes on a monthly basis.
Ensure at all times that optimum levels of stock is kept for production and that slow moving stock is identified and reported to management.
Ensure accurate stock management and ordering system in place to support timely replenishment of stock.
On time placement of orders with procurement within the given lead times to ensure minimum stock levels are kept at bay.
Manage warehouses (M3 and P1) daily in order to avoid stock losses and keeping stocks organized at all times.
Investigate and rectify any variances in finances and stock
Monthly cycle orders and vaccines dispatched on time and correct quantities as per approved program from Procurement.
Manage vaccines by monitoring fridge temperatures and expiration dates, adherence to changes in vaccination program and notification of slow moving items. Highlight non-moving items to respective departments for action to reduce waste.
Audit stock cards randomly on a weekly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Manage and coordinate daily cycle stock takes in such a way that all stock is counted within a month and produce stock count reports to Broiler FM for authorization.
Organize month end (within 3 days range prior to last calendar day of month) full count on both warehouses; balance, finalize counts and produce stock count reports to Broiler FM for authorization.
Ensure all GRN’s are captured within in 24 hours from receipt.
Maintain a register and follow up daily on equipment sent in for repairs, register to be available at all times for auditing.
Receiving of stock, checking against PO and real-time variance reporting to procurement and follow-up.
Manage the “return to supplier” process, including item documentation, tracking, and adjustments and destroying.
Ensure daily deliveries to farms as per authorized orders and adhere to required security controls and BRC controls.
Ensure sufficient and accurate dispatching / issuing of stock against production forecasts and daily requests.
Manage and motivate subordinates to optimize SOP compliance, efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouses.
In house training to subordinates and arrange for any required staff training with HR on an ongoing basis.
Manage staff compliment at all times to maintain consistency in warehouses and communicate to Broiler FM and HR when necessary.
Hold and distribute brief minutes of Monday workplace meetings to Broiler FM.
Custodian of data integrity on accuracy and completeness of data capturing.
Implement effective processes that facilitate strict SOP compliance and enable an environment that supports accuracy and integrity.
Ensure accuracy of goods received vs. goods ordered and loaded onto Syspro (grn) on date of receipt.
Ensure accurate issuing of stock.
The monitoring and measuring of supplier service and conduct levels as well as feedback to management and the suppliers.
Ensure complete packs to creditors (D/N, Invoice, PR, PO, GRN
