MINIMUM ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric
  • Dip / B. Tech Degree - Engineering
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Own reliable vehicle
  • Relevant experience within Engineering Industry (ESSENTIAL)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business-to-business Marketing & Sales
  • Proficient in MS Packages
  • Must be willing to do extensive travelling

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Exceptional Communication Skills (written & verbal)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Must possess a confident and dynamic personality with a “go-getter” attitude
  • Must possess the ability to “seal the deal”
  • Must be proficient is MS Packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS & DUTIES:

Main duties & Job Function:

  • Responsible for the business-to-business marketing of the company to its target market throughout South Africa, focusing specifically on the Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal regions.
  • This specific role of the applicant will be to develop the company’s business on a national basis with the clear objective of increasing its’ market share and acquiring new business.

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities: -

  • Implementation of the company’s business development activities in accordance with a marketing plan and company objectives
  • Meet with existing and potential customers on a regular basis with the clear goal of obtaining Request for Quotations (RFQ’s)
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that management are informed of progress on business development activities
  • Creating a wide range of different marketing materials
  • Maintenance of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Oversee publications on company’s various social media platforms
  • Research competitors, trends and products as and when required
  • Proactively research and identify various marketing opportunities
  • Must be willing to travel.
